lyrics

She walked away, embracing
Her mother’s sign of Aquarius…
She looked at me, engaging,
And put me out like a cigarette.

We fell upon the open sea,
Moving without no guarantee,
The winds should shift and so should we,
As we slipped into the autumn sea.

When the ship set free, alone and after dark,
The moon lit the water, glimmering.
Amidst the highs and lows of the coming clouds,
Neptune’s longing shadow darkening.
Running in too deep, the dawn it drew near,
The sea began to swell, the pregnant beast.

You waved your arms upon the autumn sea,
And on the waves you were swallowing,
Strippin us from everything,
As we drift upon the autumn sea.

We clung to the raft for five days and nights,
A refugee upon the zodiac.
And one by one the weathered returned to sea,
Absorbed by ones paradisiacs,
So you and I remain, retained and at sea,
The lovers left us alone for the element,

So when the world you know is ending,
And everything you thought forgotten,
The zodiac, sustaining,
I’ll be the one here remaining.
