You make me fee like I’ve just begun, You make me feel, I’ve been here again, You make me feel like I understand, You make me feel like I’ve just begun… Because it’s been awhile since I was in the land where the spirit died… And if I leave this town, am I really just leaving myself behind? Or just someone else’s mind? Just think about all the good we’ll see, If we just change our perception of the sky, Because I was a man, But now I’m just an ordinary guy, Because if love’s just a contest I’ll be lucky if I make it out alive… And if we make our dreams come true, Then maybe this surreal life will subside… Yeah, we’ll make it if we try… And it’s been a while since the dawn of our kind… And like a photograph, it’s here and gone in a blink of an eye. It’s been a long, long, long time… It’s been a while, it’s been a long long long time…

Satisfied? 03:38
I’m just tryin’ to kill time in my mind, All the people here they do it all the time, I saw you here again, how you just looked like them, I couldn’t save you, I cant save my piece of mind Are you satisfied? You and I we were both so alike, How our paths they seemed to crossed again this time, You went your way and I just went right down mine We built a dream that we both had left behind… Are you satisfied? Going back to where you and I had begun, A dream was lost but a new seed had sprung, And maybe what you lost will be replaced by what you might find. To me a man ain’t a man if he can’t be satisfied… What’s left to hide?

Zodiac 04:24
She walked away, embracing Her mother’s sign of Aquarius… She looked at me, engaging, And put me out like a cigarette. We fell upon the open sea, Moving without no guarantee, The winds should shift and so should we, As we slipped into the autumn sea. When the ship set free, alone and after dark, The moon lit the water, glimmering. Amidst the highs and lows of the coming clouds, Neptune’s longing shadow darkening. Running in too deep, the dawn it drew near, The sea began to swell, the pregnant beast. You waved your arms upon the autumn sea, And on the waves you were swallowing, Strippin us from everything, As we drift upon the autumn sea. We clung to the raft for five days and nights, A refugee upon the zodiac. And one by one the weathered returned to sea, Absorbed by ones paradisiacs, So you and I remain, retained and at sea, The lovers left us alone for the element, So when the world you know is ending, And everything you thought forgotten, The zodiac, sustaining, I’ll be the one here remaining.

I chase the spirit in the sky… Trying, to find what I’ve left behind… But there’s a disappearing man, tugging at my sleeve… Do you know what he needs? I’m gunna head out on the road, I’m going back to what I can control… But there’s a hungry woman, knocking down my door… Do you know what It’s for? I, lost piece of me, Swallowed by the tides of the salt sea. But there’s a disappearing man, Doing what he’s told… And the spirits getting old… I feel I’m born again, With the simple comfort of a friend. But there’s a spirit in the sky, I feel I’ll never find. There’ll never be the time…

Don’t you walk away from me I’m still talking… Trying to keep these memories, From forgetting… I can close my eyes and see, The world pass by in front of me, Take what you need. I have seen the seven seas, They’re all empty… So I sing this old man’s tune, Makes me happy. I can close my eyes and see, The world pass by in front of me, Take what you need. And I was alone, Before I found you…

I got up I left the car, And I knew I wouldn’t be getting far, I left my keys and the gravity seems, To be pulling me, pulling me. You got up you hit the road, And the color of your cloths, Were black and white don’t make the sad things bright. I could tell you were heading home. On the road, a story’s told, and it goes You make me feel at home, So please unlock your doors, You make me feel so all alone. You make me feel like home. You got up you left the door, Where the wine fell on the kitchen floor, And the cigarette that was pressed between your lips, Leaves a ring, like a dream, burnt away. On the road, a stories sold, and it goes. You make me feel at home, So please unlock your doors, You make me feel so all alone. You make me feel like home. You make me feel at home, So please unlock your doors, You make me feel so all alone. You make me feel like home. We don’t talk about the war, No we don’t care about their stupid score, We put up a fight but who really thought that we might, Never get the promise we deserved. So solider won’t you come on home, Back to the place where you were born The church bells ring, and it never meant a thing, Now sing the word I’m coming home. On the road, it’s bought and sold, and it goes, You make me feel at home, So please unlock your doors, You make me feel so all alone. You make me feel like home. You make me feel at, You make me feel at... home

Blackwood Harvest Los Angeles, California

Feels Like Home, is an experimental folk album. It’s centered around a narrative that songwriter, Chris Schellenbach, describes as the feeling you get growing up in a small town. Layered with nostalgic melodies, imagery, and lyrics, Chris Schellenbach’s reflects that he’s, “Always trying to return to the basics, and I feel like that’s what this album is about, a return to elemental things.” ... more
